Checking In and Out of Lake District Coliving

Here is a little guide to arriving and leaving Lake District Coliving. Just let us know if you have any questions!

Checking Out

When it’s time to leave, your room must be handed back in the same condition as shown in your Schedule of Condition. This includes carrying out a full deep clean before departure. If this isn’t done, we’ll need to arrange the works and cleaning ourselves and recharge you for the costs.

A few key points to note:

  • Painting: Over time, paint colours can fade or change. Our room paint colour is Overtly Green RAL. If touch-ups are required, we recommend scanning the wall with a paint app to get the closest match.

  • Wardrobes: If there is any damage, let us know. Typically, this can be resolved with light sanding and the application of Osmo oil.

  • Repairs: Any alterations made during your stay (with permission) must be returned to their original state before you leave.

Check out at 10am. The room should look just as it did when you checked in.

  • All alterations put back to how they were

  • Any painting required actioned

  • Deep clean of bathroom done

  • Deep clean of bedroom done

  • Confirmed to landlord any issues weren’t able to sort

  • Radiator working fine and you’ve switched off

  • Windows working fine and you’ve closed

  • Flooring free from any scratches and in good condition

Checking In

When you first arrive, please take a few minutes to look around your room and check that everything is in good working order. This includes:

  • Windows opening and closing properly

  • Radiators heating as expected

  • Paintwork and walls in good condition

  • Furniture and fittings (including wardrobes) free from damage

If you notice anything that isn’t right, let us know straight away. We will also provide you with a Schedule of Condition— a record of the room’s condition at the start of your stay. This is what we will refer back to when you check out, so it’s important that any issues are flagged at the beginning.

If you’d like to carry out any works in your room (such as decorating, hanging items, or repairs), you must let us know first so we can confirm if it’s okay. Any works carried out must be reversed at the end of your stay, returning the room to its original condition.

Check in you’ll get a key for room, fob which gets you in laundry and front door and also a letter box key.

Check in 12pm - 2pm.
